The reason it does take Naru so long in confessing to Keitaro is that even though she loves him, she’s scared of what the other girls would think. She doesn’t want to be lonely and is aware of the girls’ developing affections for him. Naru was afraid that if she were to open her heart up to Keitaro, then the others would desert her and she’d be alone. Naru beating up on Keitaro came for two reasons: to convince the girls she has no feelings for Keitaro and to be sure that he would be an ideal man for her to marry and not take advantage of her.

In fact, all of the girls at Hinata Inn fell for Keitaro because each one lacked a characteristic in their life which he had and they admired.
For Naru, Keitaro had the loving care she wanted.
For Kitsune, Keitaro had the responsibility that she lacked.
For Motoko, Keitaro had all the good qualities of men she thought they lacked.
For Kaolla, Keitaro had the understanding that she wanted.
For Shinobu, Keitaro had the confidence that she lacked.

As they show later on (was it in love hina again?) Naru has abandonment issues; she was hurt when her parents divorced and when seta went away on a trip, making her afraid of getting close to someone so that she could be hurt again.

As for why the Hinata Inn girls all fall in love with Keitaro, I don’t think it’s so much that he has so many good qualities. Indeed, most of the story seems to be built on his loser status. The one good quality that he has is the determination and hope to follow his dream of going to Toudai and to find his promised girl.

Thus, the Hinata Inn girls all like him because he tells them to follow their own dreams.

He tells Motoko to pursue her dream of becoming a great warrior, even when her sister tells her to give up kendo.
He tells Shinobu to stand up for herself and do what she wants to do, so she tells her parents that she doesn’t want to move.
He tells Suu that it’s okay to be a child if she isn’t ready to grow up just yet.

It doesn’t really fit for Kitsune or Naru though, but then I don’t really see Kitsune being attracted to Keitaro in the anime. She’s always in the background, either drunk or meddling in Naru and Keitaro’s relationship. The only time when she showed affection for Keitaro was an act to make Naru jealous, and it lasted maybe 20 seconds. And the attempt to get out of paying her rent at the beginning was just her being smutty :P.

Perhaps the reason Naru likes Keitaro is because he’s so stubborn and steadfast in getting into Toudai, meaning that he probably wouldn’t abandon her like all the others did.

Except he does in Love Hina Again, which would explain why their relationship took such a giant step backwards. And it also explains why Naru seeks Keitaro out to convince him not to give up on Toudai in his few moments of weakness. Or maybe he just inspires her to keep trying for Toudai as well.

These are my reasons why Keitaro Urashima and Motoko Aoyama should must end up together:

♥Motoko loves Keitaro:

She did admit it, didn’t she? She told to herself that she likes loves Keitaro but won’t admit it because her friend Naru loves likes him… (See? Told ya, I hate Naru!)

♥Naru is just plain normal:

Naru is a typical Japanese girl whom Keitaro likes just because she’s also planning of entering Toudai… Motoko on the other hand, a sword handling, ass kicking girl who love Keitaro ^_^ (I am so rude!)

♥Motoko’s first love is Keitaro:

Yep, he is her first love, *whispers* unlike what some guy told me that she likes Seta… *giggles* Before, she hates boys because she thought that her sister became weak when she fell in love but Keitaro changed all that.

♥Naru sucks:

Well for me she does, I really don’t like her much… She’s plain boring… besides she looks like a hentai model than a dream girl… *runs away from raging Naru fans*

Ok, pretty stupid reasons, but I trust your intelligence to get my point.

Yes, I love hate Narusegawa, I am a Motoko/Keitaro Shipper
Keitaro asks Motoko to use her swordsmanship. Motoko resists saying she can’t while wearing dresses, but Keitaro convinces her that it’s her, not the dress, that has the ability to fight. -Episode12
Keitaro could see her cheeks getting wetter, she was crying. Keitaro felt shocked. I’ve never seen her like this before…
Motoko was stunned. He cares about us? Why does he care so much?
Motoko looked at Keitaro, she hugged her and cried "Why are you so kind to me? Even if I kept on hurting you, why are you always there for me?" She hugged him tightly and cried…

-Episode25

Since my computer’s so slow right now, I won’t be able to upload all the Keitaro/Motoko pics that I have, so keep posted :p

On the next post, Maybe I’ll explain why I like the ship… maybe I’ll post why Naru and Keitaro aren’t for each other… yada yada…

SHE: I’m a plastic surgeon. I’ve been looking for a face like yours!!!

HE: Hi! Didn’t we go on a date once? or was it twice?
SHE: Must’ve been once. I never make the same mistake twice!!!

HE: May I have the pleasure of this dance?
SHE: No, I’d like to have some pleasure too!!!

HE: How did you get to be so beautiful?
SHE: I must have been given your share!!!

HE: Will you come out with me this Saturday?
SHE: Sorry! I’m having a headache this weekend!!!

HE: Your face must turn a few heads!
SHE: And your face must turn a few stomachs!!!

HE: Go on, don’t be shy. Ask me out!
SHE: Okay, get out!!!

HE: I think I could make you very happy
SHE: Why? Are you leaving?

HE: What would you say if I asked you to marry me?
SHE: Nothing. I can’t talk and laugh at the same time!!!

HE: Can I have your name?
SHE: Why, don’t you already have one?

HE: Shall we go and see a film?
SHE: I’ve already seen it!!!

HE: Do you think it was fate which brought us together?
SHE: Nah, it was plain bad luck!!!

Man: Where have you been all my life?
Woman: Hiding from you.

Man: Where have you been all my life?
Woman: Where I’ll be the rest of your life - in your wildest dreams.

Frequently Asked Questions about Wicca

Q:
Do Witches worship Satan, the Devil, etc., or participate in Satanic rituals?
A:
No. Satan, or "the Devil," is a concept not to be found outside of Judeo-Christianity, Islam, and Zoroastrianism. A person must be working through the paradigm of a Holy Bible in order to believe in Satan. He is not a part of Native American religions, Shinto, Buddhism, Animism or (of course) Wicca.
Q:
Don’t Witches participate in "strange" rituals?
A:
Define "strange"! Do you find brushing your teeth strange? Do you find your morning cup of coffee strange? Then why would greeting the sun every day be strange? The Communion or Mass common in the Christian church where one partakes of the blood and body of another person seems strange to us.
Q:
Do Witches believe in God?
A:
Most Witches don’t believe in the Christian concept of God. As one Wiccan teacher put it, "My God does not have a beard nor does it hate women." They believe in an unknowable Ultimate Deity. Witchcraft, being the oldest religion/philosophy on earth, has its own pantheon of Gods and Goddesses that are used in a way similar to the way Catholics use Saints. Please also refer to information from our Pantheist friend for more on this subject.
Q:
Isn’t the pentagram (the five-pointed star enclosed in a circle) a symbol of the Devil?
A:
The pentagram in its correct state (one point up, standing on two points) represents the perfected human. The upside-down pentagram means the opposite. In Wicca, the five points represent our basic beliefs.
Q:
What are your five Basic Beliefs? Are they like the Ten Commandments?
A:
Sort of, except we only have one "commandment," the Wiccan Rede. It states, "If it harm none, do what you will." The other four beliefs in our religion are: (2) The Law of Attraction, (3) Harmony and Serenity, (4) Power through Knowledge, and (5) Progressive Reincarnation.
Q:
Are there different denominations of Witches like there are different denominations of Christians, such as Baptist, Catholic, etc.?
A:
Yes. Most of the information in this document applies to many Witches, while some is specific to our particular way. Furthermore, since the Craft is an individualistic religion in which many Witches practice without a formal coven, there are probably many thousands of different "denominations."
Q:
What does Wicca mean or stand for?
A:
"Wicca" is a word from an older version of English meaning "wise", among other things.   It is not an abbreviation.

Q:
I know a Witch in my town and he/she isn’t at all like you are describing. Is he/she really a Witch?
A:
Although it has many tried and true rituals and ways, the Craft remains experimental and ever growing. In short — if it works, we use it. Also, like all religions, we have a lunatic fringe element. Pick the explanation that best applies to the person you know.
Q:
Do you practice "black magic"?
A:
Magic is neither "black"/evil, nor "white"/good; rather it depends on the intentions of the magician. It also it depends on how you perceive good and evil. For example: if you use magic to bring a murderer to justice and he is given a death sentence, is that evil? After all, in effect, you killed him. We will teach you how to use magic; you will supply the responsibility to use it wisely.
Q:
Can I come to the School?
A:
Sorry, but no. Gavin and Yvonne are both in demand as speakers and do a lot of lecturing around the country. Most of the time they are not in at headquarters. Believe it or not, most of the work is done on the road. We conduct various seminars at different locations throughout the Country where we bring the School to our students.
Q:
How can I meet Gavin and Yvonne?
A:
Gavin and Yvonne travel all the time.  They teach on cruises as well as at festivals and generally make themselves very available to the public.  If you do not find an event in your area on our website, then contact a local event coordinator to see if that person will invite Gavin and Yvonne to a festival in your area.
Q:
What is a "Warlock"?
A:
Warlock is another word for traitor.   It is not used to describe a male Witch. A male Witch is also a Witch or Wiccan.

Q:
I am under 18 and wish to study Wicca. How can you help?
A:
We recommend talking to your parents about Wicca and if they do not approve, please wait until you are older.  A change in religious path is not to be taken lightly and while one is living in one’s parents’ home, it is best to respect their wishes regarding religion knowing that you can open your awareness later on in life. We are happy to talk with concerned parents regarding Wicca at any time. We have a letter on our site that may answer some questions.
Q:
What tools are necessary for a Wiccan?
A:
No tools are necessary for a Wiccan, but we recommend a number of tools when starting out on the path including: sea salt, your own home made athame, an ankh, a robe made from natural materials, and space to use for your private meditation practice. It is most appropriate to make all of your own tools since you will be using your personal energy in practice–another person’s energy in your tools may interfere with your practice.

I know breaking our friendship is wrong, but she’s done it, you made a f*ckin’ hell out of me…

I so hate someone right now…

You’ve been my bestfriend for years… I’ve trusted you, but why are you such a whore? Why do you have to send a message to him, secretly telling him you miss him… and what’s with the "mwwwaaaaahhhhhhh"? What the f*ck are you trying to do? Why do you wanna plan and set up a date for you two to meet?! I so hate you!!! You know who you are… you’re the one calling here… and heck you didn’t even told me that you had those conversations with Ron. How dare you?! And to think I’ve treated you like a sister, this is how you’ll pay me back? I HATE YOU! GO TO HELL BITCH!!!

I’m sorry for my language, I’ve just found these messages, and my temper was suddenly raised to the maximum.

If ever I heard from you again about those messages, forget that we’re friends, I’ll pretend that you don’t exist.

Rivermaya - You’ll Be Safe Here

Nobody knows
Just why we’re here
Could it be fate
Or random circumstance
At the right place
At the right time
Two roads intertwine

And if the universe conspired
To meld our lives
To make us
Fuel and fire
Then know
Where ever you will be
So too shall I be

Close your eyes
Dry your tears
‘Coz when nothing seems clear
You’ll be safe here

From the sheer weight
Of your doubts and fears
Weary heart
You’ll be safe here

Remember how we laughed
Until we cried
At the most stupid things
Like we were so high
But love was all that we were on
We belong

And though the world would
Never understand
This unlikely union
And why it still stands
Someday we will be set free
Pray and believe

When the light disappears
And when this world’s insincere
You’ll be safe here
When nobody hears you scream
I’ll scream with you
You’ll be safe here

Save your eyes
From your tears
When everything’s unclear
You’ll be safe here

From the sheer weight
Of your doubts and fears
Wounded heart

When the light disappears
And when this world’s insincere
You’ll be safe here

When nobody hears you scream
I’ll scream with you
You’ll be safe here

In my arms
Through the long cold night
Sleep tight
You’ll be safe here

When no one understands
I’ll believe
You’ll be safe,
You’ll be safe
You’ll be safe here
Put your heart in my hands
You’ll be safe here
